Welcome back. There are all kinds of ways to introduce a wrestler back after they have been gone for a long time. Some of these ways are easier than others, with some wrestlers just being announced as returning. It might be with a different look or character, but the wrestlers themselves are still well known. That is the case again, as a SmackDown star is on his way back.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Already? WWE May Be Making A Major Change To Next Year’s Summerslam

This week on SmackDown, a vignette aired advertising the return of Giovanni Vinci. The vignette showed Vinci driving his car and skiing, among other things, while he narrated in Italian. No date was given for his return. This character is similar to what Vinci did while in NXT before he moved up to the main roster to join Imperium. Vinci was kicked out of the team earlier this year and drafted to SmackDown. He has not wrestled since the April 22, 2024 Monday Night Raw.

Vinci could be something. Check out the vignette and what he has done in WWE:

Opinion: This is one of those vignettes that came by surprise as Vinci has been gone for so long that it was easy to forget about him. That might not be the worst thing, as it allows the fans to miss him a bit before bringing him back. Vinci is a talented star but he has not been able to showcase himself on his own on the main roster, so at least he is finally getting his chance.

What do you think of the vignette? How will Vinci do on SmackDown? Let us know in the comments below.
