It’s an important part. A wrestler can be put on the shelf for a long time due to an injury and there is little that can be done to make things better immediately. Instead, wrestlers often have to recover and get back in the ring at some point down the line. That was the case earlier this year with a rather popular wrestler, but now things are starting to turn the corner with an important step forward.

Back in May, Mercedes Mone suffered an injury during a match for the inaugural New Japan Strong Women’s Title and has not wrestled since. This has led to a question of where Mone will wrestle next, though she has said it will not be until 2024. Mone has posted a video of herself training in the ring, presumably for a comeback. It is not clear when or where the footage was shot.

Opinion: This is one of those things that has to be done to get Mone back in the ring. She is one of the best talents going today but at some point she is going to have to get her rhythm and timing back. Training like this can help a lot before she gets back into the full swing of things. That leaves the questions of when and where she will wrestle next, but at least she’s getting a start.
