Take it outside. There are a lot of ways to present a wrestling storyline and one of the most interesting is when you have two people who just cannot get along. They may have been close once before, but for some reason everything has fallen apart and the only thing left for them to do is face off. That is the case again today and things got physical all over again outside of the arena.
One of the hotter feuds in NXT as of late has been between Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. The former Undisputed Era teammates have gone from best friends to bitter enemies following Cole turning on the rest of the team and splitting the group. O’Reilly is now back to go after Cole and that is exactly what he has done, both in and outside of the NXT arena. Now he might have gone a bit too far for General Manager William Regal’s liking.
They went elsewhere. Check out where the feud has gone:
Regal has posted a video to Twitter showing Cole attacking O’Reilly at a Brazilian jiu jitsu training facility but being taken away by security. As a result, Regal has promised to take action between the two this week on NXT. This comes after Cole and O’Reilly have brawled several times in recent weeks. The two have not yet had a match against each other and nothing has been announced to date.
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that I love seeing in wrestling as you do not see the people fighting outside of the arena often enough. There are only so many places you can go inside the arena before it stops having a meaning. Just going somewhere else for a bit can make things that much more interesting and that is exactly what we got here. Odds are it sets up a violent brawl at Takeover, and that is exactly what it should have been.
