WATCH: Former WWE Champion Makes Surprise Return On WWE SmackDown, Goes After Bloodline

Welcome back. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to leave competition, some of which involve a wrestler needing some time away. On other occasions, someone might leave or a storyline reason, which can lead to a big moment when they come back later on. That was the case again this week, as a former WWE Champion made a surprise return and has something ready to go.

AJ Styles made a surprise return at the end of this week’s SmackDown, saving Randy Orton and LA Knight from a post match beatdown from the Bloodline. This was Styles’ first appearance since September 22, when he was put on the shelf by the Bloodline. Styles’ return had been reported for the last few weeks but was postponed multiple times for reasons that are not clear.

That should be a big one. Check out what is back on SmackDown:

Opinion: Yeah that works, as Styles is still one of the biggest stars in WWE and certainly one of the most dependable hands. WWE can put him in all kinds of spots and get a solid performance out of him, which is why it makes sense to put him back in this high profile of a story. I’m curious to see where things go for Styles, who could be right back in the World Title scene in a hurry.
