Who are you again? There are all kinds of things that come together to make a wrestler into a star. Some of these things are easy to see, with one of the most important being a wrestler’s name. A wrestler having a bad or wrong name can be something that drags them down in a big way. Occasionally a wrestler will get a name change out of nowhere, and that is the case again, with one person making the decision.

In recent weeks, various WWE wrestlers have been using more alliterative names. These names include “Spirited” Sami Zayn, “Scintillating” Santos Escobar, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, “Cheeky” Chelsea Green, “Big” Bronson Reed and more. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, these name changes come from Vince McMahon, who issued a directive introducing the new names earlier this month.
There are some talented names on that list. Check out some of them in action:
Opinion: Some of these names are fine but they definitely do fit the description of something McMahon would introduce. At the end of the day, this is probably something that will be forgotten about and dropped in a few weeks and therefore it will not make a big difference. The names don’t change much, but just having them show up one day can be a bit jarring.
