Gotcha. You never know what you might see at a WWE live event. I know there are a lot of them that are very similar to the rest, but every now and then you get something really special. It might be a random title change or someone showing up completely unexpected, but there’s always the chance that it could happen. One of those chances came up this Friday night.
Well hello there. Look who showed up at a live event for a rare match:
As shown in a video on WWE’s Instagram page, Kurt Angle made a surprise appearance at Friday’s WWE live event in San Antonio, Texas. Baron Corbin had won a match by forfeit but it turned out that his night wasn’t over. Corbin celebrated until Angle came out and took the match against Corbin as a surprise. This was Angle’s first match since December 17 when he was involved in a five on one handicap match against Corbin.
Opinion: As someone who was at a house show less than a week ago, I’m a bit jealous. Angle showing up is a treat for the fans who might never get to see him in person as he’s all but tired these days. Angle probably should have walked away from the ring a long time ago but every now and then like this, especially if he doesn’t look terrible in the ring, is a bit more acceptable. At least it was a cool moment.
