She’s still got it. There are certain tropes who keep appearing in wrestling no matter how much time passes. One of the most common is the authority figure, who can show up for a variety of reasons, including setting up matches. There have been some who have been around WWE for a very long time and now one of the most successful is showing she still knows what she is doing.

There were several legends in attendance at this week’s SmackDown, including former General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Over the weekend, Guerrero appeared on the SmackDown LowDown, interrupting Chelsea Green and suggesting that Green face Michin in a dumpster match. General Manager Nick Aldis then appeared to make the match, though it is not clear when it will take place. Guerrero served as General Manager of SmackDown multiple times, most recently in 2014.

Opinion: Sure why not. Guerrero is one of the most famous authority figures in WWE history and there is nothing wrong with having her pop up for a special appearance like this one. It worked out well and hopefully Guerrero can make some additional appearances down the line. While it might not work full time, it is the kind of nostalgia that can work out rather well.
