VIDEO: Tommaso Ciampa Is Still Obsessed With Randy Orton (And It’s Still Not Working)

It’s just not working for him. There are different ways to present wrestlers, some of which are a bit less serious than others. While previous generations were stuck with just regular television time, the expansion into digital and online areas have allowed all kinds of new segments. That is the case with some current WWE Superstars, and now we are seeing a recurring story.

Earlier this month, a video was posted to Twitter showing Tommaso Ciampa attempting to RKO Randy Orton at a recent SmackDown, resulting in Ciampa completely missing. Now a new video has been posted, with Ciampa attempting to RKO Orton backstage in catering, with similar results. There is nothing to suggest that Ciampa, or his partner Johnny Gargano, will be working with Orton on WWE TV anytime soon.

Opinion: I’m not sure how much of a shelf life this is going to have, but there is something funny about seeing Ciampa showing a lot more personality than he does on SmackDown. It might not work on television, but at least they are trying something different backstage. For now though, we are at least getting some good comedy, as Ciampa is onto something with this wackiness.
