Farewell. We are less than a week away from AEW Revolution, which will see Sting’s retirement match. Sting is set to team with Darby Allin to defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against the Young Bucks. The match’s build was the final segment of this week’s AEW Dynamite, with Sting attacking the Young Bucks to end the show. It just turns out that wasn’t the end of the night for Sting.

A video has made its way online, showing Sting addressing the crowd after last night’s Dynamite in Huntsville, Alabama. Sting thanked the fans for being at the show and said it was his last appearance on Dynamite. He mentioned that he was on the show next to Ric Flair (who had been involved in the Dynamite segment) and talked about his history in the building. Sting thanked the fans several times to end the show.
It was a nice moment. Check out the speech, plus what Sting has been up to lately:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you know is coming at some point but it is hard to believe that it is actually happening. Four days from now, Sting’s in-ring career will be over after nearly forty years and he had to say something one last time. What matters is getting to send Sting out on a high note and his time in AEW has certainly fit the bill, which is quite the impressive feat.
