It’s awkward for everyone. The holidays are upon us and that means doing a lot of things that you would not be doing at a normal time. It includes seeing family and friends who aren’t usually around, which is the case for wrestlers as well as regular people. Sometimes that can cause some interesting reactions and thankfully, there was a camera around to capture some of the moments.
AEW has taken an interesting path towards the top of the wrestling world. The company partially came about based on the strength of the Being The Elite web series, which showed some wrestlers in a variety of sketches and unique situations. The series continues to this day and is occasionally incorporated into AEW television. That is the case around the holidays as well.
The latest episode of Being The Elite features SCU and the Young Bucks having Christmas dinner together, which was referenced during the build towards their Tag Team Title match on last week’s Dynamite. During the video, SCU is rather happy and enjoying themselves while the Young Bucks are not quite as energetic. When asked, the Bucks give a rather specific answer about what is wrong. The Bucks lost their title shot against SCU on last week’s Dynamite.
A lot goes down here, including a variety of jokes. Check out the latest episode of Being The Elite:
Opinion: Your individual taste on the show may vary but you can’t argue that Being The Elite has been a pretty influential show on the modern wrestling world. The series has opened a lot of doors and gotten some fans back into the wrestling business and that is a good thing. Hopefully the series helps Dynamite establish itself even more as the talent is certainly there. Just get more people to watch.
