Here they come again. Last night at Summerslam, Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to finally win the Universal Title. Coming into the match, there were several possibilities thrown around about how the match might actually end. One of those was a certain reunion that some fans had wanted to see for a very long time. While that didn’t take place on Sunday, there’s always Monday.
Well this is certainly worth a look.
This week on Monday Night Raw, the Shield reunited after Reigns successfully defended his title against Finn Balor. Mr. Money in the Bank Braun Strowman was ready to cash in his briefcase but Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins came to the ring for the save, attacking Strowman before the match could actually start. The team TripleBombed Strowman through the announcers’ table to end the show.

Opinion: I get the idea of trying to push the Shield to get Reigns cheered, but that doesn’t change the underlying problem: it’s the trio getting cheered and not him. This is the third time they’ve put the Shield together and while it’s guaranteed to work, I’m not sure how much it helps Reigns. Now that being said, we didn’t really get to see it work last time so this is hardly the worst idea in the world.
What did you think of the reunion? Will it help keep Reigns over? Let us know in the comments below.
