The sincerest form of flattery? The WWE Women’s Revolution has changed the way wrestling works forever. Women’s wrestling has come such a long way in just a few years and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to go back the other way anytime soon. WWE is not the only company with such a focus though and a wrestler from another company has something to say.
While the WWE Women’s Revolution has been a big deal for a little over five and a half years, the Impact Wrestling Knockouts have been treated like a big deal for a very long time now. The Knockouts have been a major part of Impact Wrestling for over fifteen years now and as a result, the division has earned some attention. One of its wrestlers thinks it has gotten too much attention this time around though.
During this week’s SmackDown, Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champion Kiera Hogan posted a pair of tweets that suggested she felt SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks was imitating her style and look. Both have blue hair and Hogan’s videos show Banks doing a similar dance on her way to the ring this week. Banks has not responded to the tweets.
Does she have a point? Check out the different looks:
Opinion: I’m not sure on this one as the two of them may be similar, but Banks has been doing something like this for a very long time. There have been several women who do something similar on their way to the ring so it might be a little bit of a stretch to say this is the same thing. I can understand that Hogan might want the same attention, but she might be overreacting here.
