Video: Formerly Known As: Bayley

Flashback. Over the last few months, WWE has started airing a series called Formerly Known As where various members of the roster look back at the beginnings of their careers when they wrestled under different names. The first two entries were Seth Rollins and Matt Hardy, but what about a woman for a change? This time around there’s someone a bit more fun involved, which could make for an interesting case.

Turn it up.

How Bayley started her career as Davina Rose: WWE Formerly Known As

In the latest episode of the series, Bayley goes back to where she had her first match as well as to the store where she worked while training for wrestling. The show features clips of her early matches as Davina Rose and her rise from the California independent circuit up to NXT. Bayley also talks about everything that she had to go through to get where she is today, including talking to the people who trained her to wrestle.

Opinion: I love this series and it’s one of my favorite things that WWE does. There’s something so cool about seeing where these big stars came from and taking away everything that got them where they are today. A lot of these wrestlers started in front of fifty people on a big night and now they’re wrestling in front of 75,000 people at WrestleMania. There’s something special about that and it’s been a treat every time I’ve watched the thing. Hopefully they keep this going for a long time.
