I mean, can you blame them? The ending of last night’s Hell In A Cell pay per view saw Brock Lesnar make a surprise return to attack Braun Strowman and Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The result of the attack was the match being turned into a no contest, which isn’t something that often happens inside the Cell. As you might expect, the fans weren’t exactly pleased.
And of course, there’s video.
A new video has surfaced showing the fans’ reaction after the show went off the air. The fans, at least the ones in the section filmed, loudly chanting “BULL****” in relation to the ending of the show. The pay per view ended almost immediately after the main event was over and there is a possibility that the show ended before such a chant could be heard on the WWE Network feed.
Opinion: I can’t say I disagree. WWE can’t push this concept of the Cell being the ultimate nightmare and then have the match end in a no contest because the two of them can’t continue. And from what? A beatdown from Lesnar? I get the idea, but that came just after the two of them had been down for the better part of ten minutes while four other people brawled in the arena. That’s quite the stretch and I can’t blame the fans for being upset as a result.
What did you think of the ending of the show? How else should the match have ended? Let us know in the comments below.
