Wrestling is a weird place. In most versions of entertainment, someone leaving a show or production results in them being replaced by a new actor. That’s not the case in wrestling though, as wrestlers often change gimmicks and are presented as new characters. Some of these aren’t that big of a deal, but other times see them go in a very different direction which jars the fans. That was the case this week.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt made his official return after a six month absence in a drastically different gimmick. Wyatt is now hosting a children’s program called Firefly Fun House, which appears similar to Pee Wee’s Playhouse. Wyatt mentioned his previous persona and cut up a cardboard cutout of himself with a saw. It was also confirmed that the puppet and doll from recent weeks were his friends.
You need to see this one for yourself. Check out Wyatt’s new world:
Opinion: This is one of those things where I have no idea what to think of it but I know I need to see more. It was downright eerie at times and there are parts of it that are almost guaranteed to be interesting. Wyatt knows how to be creepy and it was a very smart move to get him out of his old persona. That one has been done to death and something needed to be changed.
