The glorious farewell. Bobby Roode made his main roster debut a few weeks back and has been hitting some very strong heights since. He’s already one of the most popular stars on “Smackdown Live” and that’s not the biggest shock after his dominance of NXT. He wasn’t quite done with NXT though and that lead to a very nice moment.
Over the weekend, Roode appeared at his final NXT show in his home town of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After defeating the Velveteen Dream with a Sharpshooter earlier in the night, Roode returned at the end of the show and gave a speech putting over the brand and saying NXT belonged to the fans. Here’s his farewell speech in full:
Bobby Roode bids farewell to the NXT Universe
Opinion: I wasn’t big on Roode coming in to WWE at first but he has completely smashed my expectations. Roode is already a hit on the main roster and I’d love to see him get pushed hard in the near future. He’s already 40 years old and it would be nice to see him get pushed sooner rather than later.
What did you think o Roode’s time in NXT? How far do you think he’ll go on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
