Whatcha got for me? We’re just over a month away from the upcoming NXT Takeover: Chicago and that means it’s time to get things going. With Takeover: New Orleans being held in early April, NXT only had about two months to set up the whole card. That’s the point of the big television tapings, as we now have at least the majority of the card set up in the span of two nights. So what’s on tap?

Maybe something like this?

Roderick Strong shockingly joins forces with Undisputed ERA: NXT TakeOver: New Orleans (WWE Network)

Over the last two nights, NXT taped their next five weeks of television, which set up the upcoming Takeover: Chicago card. According to 411mania.com, after this week’s tapings, five matches have been set for Takeover: Chicago. For most Takeovers, the entire card is composed of five matches but there is still a chance that some of these matches could be altered or another could be added to. Here is the card as it stands after the two nights of television tapings:

* WWE NXT Championship Match: Aleister Black vs. Lars Sullivan
* Street Fight: Johnny Gargano vs. Tomasso Ciampa
* NXT Women’s Championship Match: Nikki Cross vs. Shayna Baszler
* NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly
* Ricochet vs. The Velveteen Dream

You can check out the results from Wednesday’s tapings here and Thursday’s tapings here.

Opinion: That sounds like a heck of a show with matches which could go either way. How often do you see a WWE pay per view card where you can guess most of the winners before the show even starts? While NXT cards can be predictable at times, there are often some matches that you just can’t guess. That’s the case with the majority of this show and that could make for a heck of a Takeover in front of a red hot crowd. What more could you ask for?
