They matter too. The Wednesday Night Wars have made the middle of the week a lot more interesting for wrestling fans as they now have two big time wrestling shows on the same night of the week. That isn’t something that has happened in a very long time and it has been quite the story throughout the year. However, it might not be the case much longer and one network seems pleased.

On Wednesday, a rumor broke that WWE is considering moving NXT to another night of the week, with Tuesday being a possibility. This comes as NXT and AEW Dynamite have been rescheduled for a few weeks due to the NBA and NHL Playoffs. The shows have done nice television numbers as a result, with NXT’s audience and ratings going up. WWE seems interested in making the move permanent, but someone else might be on board as well.

According to Fightful Select, the USA Network had been interested in moving NXT to Tuesday nights two months ago. The network sees the head to head competition with Dynamite as damaging to the television audience and ratings. NXT most recent and next episode have and will be on Tuesday, with the two shows being seen as test runs for a permanent move.

It seemed to work early on. Check out how the first week on Tuesday went:

Opinion: This sounds like a very good idea as I see little benefit in having the shows on the same night. Mixing things up a bit could help both shows as fans would no longer have to pick between the two of them. That is something that has made Wednesday nights a lot more hectic, as fans have to jump back and forth or watch a lot of wrestling in one night if they want to avoid spoilers. Let things breathe a bit and see how much better they can be.

What do you think of the idea? Should NXT move? Let us know in the comments below.
