That certainly is one way to handle it. One of the biggest stories to come out of the last week was the situation involving the TNA Tag Team Titles. The Hardys came into the week as the champions and left the company on Wednesday without ever actually losing the titles. That set up the question of what to do with the belts, which was answered at Friday’s “Impact Wrestling” tapings.
According to 411mania.com, the Tag Team Titles
were declared vacant with a four way match for the titles being held at some point in the future. There is no word on how the Hardys will be written off TV or if they’ll be mentioned at all, nor is there any team announced for the four way. It should also be noted that the titles are now the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships.
Opinion: I can’t stand it when they just change the titles without having the champions involved or any match whatsoever. Would it have been asking too much to have any two wrestlers go to North Carolina and film a quick fall over the Hardys? If nothing else, just have any two people put on masks and beat the Hardys for the titles and then unmask them as whomever you want. Either way, just find a way to protect the titles instead of restarting everything from scratch.
