Ultimate Warrior’s Widow Shoots Down Ryback’s Claims of a Potential Warrior Match

The promos could have been amazing. One of the more interesting stories from the last few days has been Ryback talking about a potential match with the Ultimate Warrior at “Wrestlemania XXX”. Ryback claimed that the match was in the works at one point before being called off. However, someone rather close to Warrior disagrees.

According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Ryback made the claims about a potential match on his “Conversations with the Big Guy” podcast. Warrior’s widow Dana Warrior disagrees though, saying this was never the case and wants Ryback to stop trying to make money off her husband’s name. Warrior’s manager Steve Wilton says the same and claims that there was never any negotiations for a potential match. Here are their respective Tweets:

Opinion: I’m going to take Warrior’s wife and manager’s words over Ryback on this one as Warrior never seemed to be anything close to ring shape. It’s pretty clear that he wasn’t in great health anyway and if he was going to be in a match, in theory he wouldn’t have been able to pass a physical in order to perform. Ryback really does seem to be making this up and unless he has more proof, I don’t buy what he’s saying.
