Not in the cards. Speaking is one of the most important aspects of wrestling, as a wrestler cutting a promo and saying something about someone else is the best way to stir up interest in a match. There are some wrestlers who are better talkers than others, but it can be a problem if they say something completely unplanned. That seems to have taken place again last week.

After the main event of last weekend’s AEW Collision, CM Punk spoke about Hangman Page, insulting Page’s ability to draw interest. This was reportedly in response to some fans who had been heckling Punk. According to F4WOnline.com, Punk’s comments were not part of a storyline. In addition, Page was sent to Greensboro, North Carolina, the location of Collision, for a pre-taped interview, but was told to do it away from the venue and to “not go to the show”. There is nothing to suggest that AEW is planning a Punk vs. Page match at the moment.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that keeps happening and I’m not sure how it is going to end. At the end of the day, Punk and the lite cannot seem to get along and at some point AEW is going to have to decide which side they want to take. Either that or the two sides are going to have to learn to get along, and I’m really not sure I can imagine that happening anytime soon.
