That could be a problem. About a year ago, an incident known as the Brawl Out took place after AEW’s All Out event. The incident saw a backstage fight break out between CM Punk, Ace Steele and the Elite, but the whole thing started over an exchange of statements between CM Punk and Hangman Page. Punk is now back and things seem to be better, but that was not on display this week.

Punk took part in the main event of this week’s AEW Collision, losing in a six man tag when he teamed with FTR against the House of Black in a Trios Title match. Following the show, Punk got on the microphone and addressed Page, telling a story about going to a store earlier in the day and seeing all kinds of Page toys on the shelf with no one buying any. Instead, Punk sold merchandise and popped ratings and mentioned being called the heart, soul and spirit of AEW. There is no word on any future match or storyline between the two.

It was quite a moment. Check out the promo, plus Punk and Page before:

Opinion: This is a situation where the details are what matters. If this is part o a story, it’s exactly the kind of thing that can make people wonder what is going on and draw up some interest. On the other hand, if this wasn’t planned in advance and was just Punk shooting his mouth off, it’s not something that is going to go well with pretty much anyone in AEW. At the end of the day though, it’s going to get people talking, which is kind of the point either way.
