Can you count to ten? Over the last few weeks there have been very few stories more interesting than a huge group of WWE wrestlers trying to get a release from WWE. While none of them have been successful yet and there have been some questions about how accurate some of the requests have been, we now have one that is straight from the horse’s mouth. Or wrestler’s fingers in this case.
In a new post on his Instagram, Tye Dillinger says that he has requested his release from WWE. While he doesn’t say one way or another, the way he words the statement makes it sound like the request was granted. Dillinger has been on the main roster for just shy of two years and has had rather limited success, with his high point being a few shots at the United States Title.
This was as great of a debut as you could have had. Check out Dillinger showing up at the Royal Rumble:
Opinion: There’s only so much you can do in WWE when your gimmick is shouting TEN at someone. Dillinger tried to do what he could be it just wasn’t clicking and that’s acceptable. I don’t know what he’s going to do now, but I’m sure AEW might be interested. At least we got some great entrances out of him, which really was enough to keep him around for a long time.
What did you think of Dillinger? Where is he going to go next? Let us know in the comments below.
