That’s all they can spare. With most of “Wrestlemania XXXIII” set, there aren’t a lot of questions remaining to be answered. One of the few things left is the list of participants in the fourth annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Only a handful of names have been confirmed but after this week’s “Monday Night Raw”, two big names have been added.
On tonight’s show, Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman were both confirmed for the battle royal. Strowman came out near the end of an Over the Top Rope Challenge and announced that he’ll eliminate Big Show from the match. Zayn had a bit harder as he had to defeat Kevin Owens in a No DQ match or risk losing his job thanks to Stephanie McMahon.
Opinion: I really wish they had more for Strowman than just a spot in the battle royal, especially if he doesn’t win the thing. The battle royal really is just a match that allows for a few debuts and a bunch of names to appear on the roster, which isn’t what I’d expect for Zayn and Strowman. At least someone should get a nice rub from it, assuming it’s not wasted on someone else.
Who do you think will be the surprise entrants? Who wins? Let us know in the comments below.
