History has been made. Like him or not, Roman Reigns is one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE history. He’s won almost everything there is to win and there’s a good chance he’s going to be in his fourth straight Wrestlemania main event next year. Tonight though, he picked up one of the few things he’s never accomplished.

In the main event of tonight’s “Monday Night Raw”, Reigns defeated the Miz to become the new Intercontinental Champion. This is Reigns’ first run with the title, which was incorrectly billed as the only title he’s never won (he’s also never been Universal Champion). The loss leaves Miz less than 100 days shy of the most combined days as Intercontinental Champion.

Here’s how the match was set up.

Roman Reigns wants an Intercontinental Title Match: Raw, Nov. 20, 2017

Opinion: I like it. With Brock Lesnar gone from the show, there’s not much else for the top stars to do so putting the Intercontinental Title on Reigns makes as much sense as anything else. Let them have the Intercontinental Title to feud over so we can have something for them to do. Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and others could fight over the thing until the Universal Title is back in play. Everyone wins. Well save for Miz of course.

Do you like Reigns winning the title? Who will take it off of him? Let us know in the comments below.
