That’s not how it was supposed to go. WWE presents a wide variety of events a year, with several of them taking place on television. Those shows are presented in a different way as they have to adhere to a more strenuous time frame. Most of them are timed out rather well, but there are going to be mistakes made every so often. Apparently that was the case again this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Another One? Update On Kevin Owens’ WWE Contract Negotiations, AEW Interest
This week’s NXT featured a segment involving special gust star CM Punk, who was interrupted by both NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and #1 contender Giulia. According to Fightful Select, the segment went longer than originally planned. There is no word on how long the segment was supposed to go or what kinds of changes needed to be made to the show as a result. Punk is expected to return to the show on October 1 in his hometown of Chicago.

Opinion: That is the kind of thing that happens every so often and while the segment did feel long, it could have been a lot worse. Punk was the biggest star on the show and it made sense for him to get that much time. Thankfully it didn’t seem to shake things up that badly, or at least NXT seemed to hide the issues well enough if they were there in the first place.
