That sounds dangerous. Wrestling is quite a few things, but ultimately it is a physical sport which has an inherent danger involved. No matter how much training or skill a wrestler might have, there is always the chance that someone could get hurt doing something they have done a hundred times. Unfortunately that was the case again earlier this month and now we know more about what happened.

Earlier this week on NXT, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan attacked Rhea Ripley, resulting in a fractured orbital bone. This was believed to cover a legitimate injury which had put Ripley on the injured list. According to PWInsider.com, the injury is believed to have taken place on October 21 when Ripley used a headbutt. The injury angle took place on NXT because Ripley was able to be at the show without having to fly to a new venue. Ripley is not booked for next week’s Monday Night Raw and it is not clear when she will return to WWE TV.

Opinion: That does explain some things, as smashing your head into someone elses is only going to be able to be kept so safe. Unfortunately Ripley is likely going to be on the shelf for the time being, but WWE was smart enough to use it to get some heat on Morgan and Rodriguez. That is more than you see a lot of the time, and thankfully WWE is turning it into more of the norm with something like this.
