It’s his thing. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling broadcast as successful as possible and some of those people are not going to get in the ring on a regular basis. That does not mean they are incapable of having a match and it can make for an interesting situation when they do. One such WWE name is speaking about doing just that and has quite the take on it.

Nick Aldis has been the General Manager of SmackDown since October 2023 and has not wrestled since taking on the job. Aldis, who began his in-ring career in November 2004, was asked about a potential return to the ring during a recent interview with the Gorilla Position podcast. While Aldis did not suggest it would be happening anytime soon, he said that he was absolutely open to the idea, though he had no say or control over returning to the ring. Aldis said that he wanted to help WWE in any way possible and he would be fine with that meant serving as the General Manager.
Aldis is quite good at his job. Check out his time as the boss of the blue brand:
Opinion: This is a perfectly fine attitude to have, as Aldis is already quite good in his current role and could do it for a very long time to come. At the same time, he is 37 years old and a seasoned veteran of the ring. There would be nothing wrong with Aldis getting back in the ring, either full time or on a one off basis, and I’m sure WWE knows that they have that in their back pocket if they want, or need, to go in that direction.
What do you think of Aldis? Do you want him to return to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
