Surprise Return And Reunion Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

Welcome back. There are a lot of ways to set up a feud between wrestlers and one of the best can be to have someone betray their friend. It sets up a personal rivalry that people can understand and works well most of the time. The initial betrayal can set up a big moment down the line, and that big moment took place this week, with another moment following.

Back in June, Christian Cage turned on Jungle Boy and laid him out before siding with Luchasaurus a week later. This week on Dynamite, Cage and Luchasaurus won a tag match, with Jungle Boy returning after the match. Luchasaurus sided with Jungle Boy, who chased Cage out of the arena with a chair. There is currently no word on a match between Cage and Jungle Boy in the future. o

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can set up more than a few interesting possible matches. I could go for Cage vs. Jungle Boy or Cage finding someone to set up a tag match. Either of them could go somewhere good and now the question is about finding out where AEW is going to go. If nothing else, Jungle Boy could get a heck of a rub out of this and that is a good thing.
