According to 411mania.com, Ethan Carter III defeated Moose to become the new Impact Wrestling Grand Champion at Wednesday’s TV tapings. The title change wasn’t without controversy though, as the match ended in a split decision but was decided when Bruce Prichard scored the final round 10-8 for Carter, giving him the title. Opinion: This makes sense as it’s not like Moose has been doing anything of note with the title. Carter seems to be ready to move back into the World Title picture and taking the midcard title is a good way to get on that path. However, I really hope there isn’t a power struggle/evil boss story going here as it’s been done to death so many times in this company that I never need to see it again.
