Hand it over? There are all kinds of wrestling promotions throughout the world but only a few of them are known on a national, or occasionally international, level. It can be a huge moment when one of those promotions moves to a different plateau or even worse, goes away. While it is far from happening, there are some who believe that we are going to be seeing something similar happening.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are some who believe that WWE will eventually purchase TNA, though it is not clear who exactly these people are. This comes as WWE and TNA have announced a multi year partnership which will see TNA working with NXT. However, it is also said that it would be “difficult” for WWE to purchase another wrestling promotions until 2028. While there is nothing to suggest that Anthem is looking to sell TNA, they are alleged to have attempted to sell to Tony Khan in 2018.

Opinion: This is something that would make sense if WWE wants to go in that direction, as they can certainly afford such a move. At the same time, it would make sense for WWE to have another promotion where its wrestlers can go, though they do not necessarily have to buy TNA to make that happen. Either way, this is certainly an interesting option, even if it is nowhere near likely to happen anytime soon.
