Down goes Joe. The main event of “Summerslam 2017” saw Brock Lesnar defend the Universal Title against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. At the upcoming “No Mercy 2017”, Strowman is getting a one on one title shot against Lesnar and Reigns is facing John Cena. However, you might have noticed a lack of Samoa Joe, and unfortunately it’s not for a good reason.

According to PWInsider by way of 411mania.com, Samoa Joe is on the shelf with a knee injury which he suffered in a house show match against John Cena in Jonesboro, Arkansas. At the moment, he’s expected to be out at least four weeks. The injury already changed at least one set of plans as Cena and Samoa Joe were scheduled to square off on this week’s “Monday Night Raw”.

Here’s what a healthy Samoa Joe is capable of doing:

Opinion: Dang it this couldn’t be at a worse time. Samoa Joe is on a roll at this point and it’s a shame that he’s being put on the shelf. The time frame gives him a chance of making it to “No Mercy 2017” but they would probably be better off waiting if it’s even close. A knee injury can get a lot worse if it’s pushed too far so hopefully WWE plays this one smart instead of fast.
