Keeping it in the family. There are various wrestling families who are just bigger deals than others. There are the Harts, the Andersons, the Windhams and a variety of others, but one of the biggest and most active is the Anoa’i family. The family includes names such as the Wild Samoans, the Usos, Nia Jax and of course the Rock. They’ve been wrestlers for generations now, and there may be a new generation coming in.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson has been training at the WWE Performance Center in recent months for a potential in-ring career. Since Johnson is only seventeen years old, the training can only be on a part time basis until she turns eighteen next August. There is no word on whether or not WWE would be interested in signing her to a contract.
She does have a good teacher.
Opinion: I have no idea if Johnson will be a wrestler or not but when you have those genetics going for you, there’s certainly potential for something to work there. Look at the rest of the family and see just how great they’ve been over the years. You would be crazy to not give it a shot and with the family around her, she’s certainly going to be given a chance, just for the sake of keeping the big stars happy.
Do you think Johnson has a chance? Will Rock ever wrestle again? Let us know in the comments below.
