Try it again. This weekend’s WrestleMania 36 is going to be one for the books, albeit not in the best possible way. Due to the spread of the Coronavirus, WrestleMania took place with no fans present in the Performance Center, making for a very different kind of show. That wasn’t the most positive way to go about doing things but it was about the only option available. Now though, things might be looking towards the future.
One of the biggest problems with the change to WrestleMania was the impact on the fans. There are so many things that take place in the WrestleMania host city every year and all of those things were canceled as well. Vying to host WrestleMania is one of the most intense processes in all of wrestling and Tampa has been left out due to no fault of their own. WWE may be working to remedy that.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, Tampa will be in the running to host WrestleMania 38 in 2022. Everything that would be necessary to make the show happen there is already done and no city has been selected for 2022. Los Angeles will host WrestleMania 37 in 2021 and the host city for WrestleMania 38 will not likely be announced until early 2021.
Now that the weekend that “was to be” has passed, I can say that Tampa Bay will be in the running to host #Wrestlemania? ? 38 in 2022.
All the initial legwork is obviously done, with the city still very much eager to host the event. Might be a shoe in. Time will tell.

WWE seems interested in Tampa. Check out how things would have been there:
Opinion: This should be little more than a layup as there is no reason to not do the show in Tampa. Everything was set up and they have come to terms before. Let both sides just be slightly delayed and then get what they agreed to in the first place. If nothing else it would save everyone from having to negotiate again so hopefully common sense prevails and Tampa gets its WrestleMania.
Do you think Tampa will host the show? Where else do you think will get a WrestleMania next? Let us know in the comments below.
