Not quite? There have been all kinds of changes in WWE over the last few months, with most of them coming due to Vince McMahon’s departure from the company. McMahon left WWE, seemingly for good, earlier this year due to a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, accusing McMahon of sexual assault and several other accusations. This has led to some new realities, but one of them might not be as it seems.

Earlier this week, a rumor began to circulate that McMahon was in “declining health”. The rumor began on a podcast from Lee Cole, who said that a mutual acquaintance had heard Vince’s wife Linda had made the claim. However, Vince’s lawyer Jessica Rosenberg has issued a statement to the contrary to Wrestlenomics, stating that “Vince’s health is fine. We have no idea where the rumor that he had health issues came from, but it is not true.”

Opinion: There is something fascinating about the fact that Vince, the most powerful man in wrestling history, has turned into a pariah in the industry. It is not surprising given what happened, but this sort of thing shows you how far away Vince is from everything. Other than legal issues, it is hard to imagine that Vince is going to be mentioned in WWE, or wrestling anywhere, again.
