I Remember Them: Two WWE Superstars Undergo Name Changes

Full strength. Having the right name is very important to a wrestler’s success. Not only is there the obvious issue of being able to identify someone, but there is also the factor of catching the fans’ interest. Calling someone a ridiculous sounding name is not going to do anyone any good and occasionally a change needs to be made. That was the case twice this week.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Yet: Former Champion’s WWE Return Postponed

This week on NXT, Angel and Humberto appeared in a backstage segment, though a graphic said that their names had been changed back to their full versions: Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. Their WWE.com profiles have been updated to reflect the changes as well. Garza and Carrillo’s names have been changed multiple times now, though it is not clear why.

They have the talent. Check out what the team has done before:

Opinion: This is one of those changes that never made sense in the first place so getting back to the original is the best for everyone involved. There was little reason to switch anything up and thankfully WWE has come to its senses with the team again. Now once they are able to actually get back in the ring and have a match or two, we might really be onto something.
