I’d call that a bad week. There are a lot of things going on in the wrestling world at the moment and there was nothing bigger than nearly fifty WWE employees being let go from the company, either permanently or temporarily. Some of the people being let go are more prominent names than others, but that doesn’t make it better for anyone. It turns out that one of the released names had it even worse than others.
There are a lot of places for WWE wrestlers to work and that makes the company a lot more accessible for several wrestlers. That is the case for several wrestlers down in NXT, some of whom you are almost never going to see. NXT has both the Florida live event circuit and the main television roster, with some names coming from the former to the latter. One name was doing so before being released, but he had a bad month going on before then.
Recently released NXT wrestler Dan Matha sent out a tweet revealing that he had recently been in a car accident that saw him sent through his car windshield. Matha did not give an exact date of the accident but said that it was within 21 days of his release from WWE. Also included in the tweet are photos of the car as well as the wound on his head. Matha had been wrestling on the NXT live event circuit in Florida, with his most recent televised match taking place in November on NXT UK.

Matha had some potential. Check out some of his time with the company:
Opinion: I know it’s bad to hear about Matha being released but he’s lucky that he’s alive to see his release papers. That’s a horrible looking wreck and Matha could be in far worse shape. It’s a nasty scar on the back of his head and his car is destroyed, but at least he’s around to show the picture off. I’m not sure where Matha is going to wind up, though looking for a place to go is better than not being around at all.
What did you think of Matha? Where do you think he will end up? Let us know in the comments below.
