Paul Heyman Appears on Raw, Issues Challenge to Goldberg

The rumors were swirling last week and now things have gotten even more intense. Tonight on “Monday Night Raw”, Paul Heyman returned to address comments made by Bill Goldberg, addressing Heyman’s client Brock Lesnar. Heyman officially issued a challenge to Goldberg on Lesnar’s behalf for any place at any time, which will likely wind up being in Toronto at “Survivor Series 2017.”

This comes on the heels of Goldberg’s comments on Sportscenter last week where he said he’d love to face Lesnar again. The two squared off at 2004′ “Wrestlemania XX” in an infamously horrible match where neither seemed interested in putting in effort. Goldberg hasn’t wrestled since that match.

I’m not exactly thrilled by the idea of Goldberg vs. Lesnar II but I’ll certainly take it over Shane McMahon vs. Lesnar, which has been rumored for “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. It’s pretty clear that Lesnar is going to run over anyone he faces in WWE at this point and I’d rather he destroy someone like Goldberg who isn’t going to be around very long than someone who we’re supposed to buy as a top star after Lesnar squashes them.
