I would say so. Wrestling is quite a bit of things all rolled into one, including an incredibly physical venture. While the results are predetermined, there are things that cannot be faked no matter how hard the wrestlers might try. You can often see wrestlers get banged up after their matches, which was certainly the case again this week after a very hard hitting match.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: The Rock Makes Surprise Return At WWE Bad Blood
The opening match of this weekend’s WWE Bad Blood event saw CM Punk defeat Drew McIntyre in a Hell In A Cell match. The match featured both wrestlers bleeding, with the referee having to wipe the blood off of McIntyre’s head multiple times. According to PWInsider.com, McIntyre was said to be “banged up” following the match. This included requiring sixteen staples to close a gash on his head from Punk hitting him with a toolbox. There is no word on when McIntyre will be wrestling again.
This was a big one. Check out the match, plus how we got here:
Opinion: It was very clear that there was something wrong with McIntyre during the match, as that was an absolute ghastly cut. The blood was dripping off his head and then it kept going for a good while after that. The best part here was that the match was as physical as it was, with both guys looking like they wanted to hurt the other. That’s how such a match should go and they both made it work very well.
What did you think of the match? What is next for both of them? Let us know in the comments below.
