That could be worse. There are all kinds of injuries that take place in wrestling and unfortunately you never know when one is going to take place. An injury can slow things down out of nowhere or cause someone to be put on the shelf. Unfortunately there is only so much that can be done to stop them, and now we know what happened to an injured wrestler during a recent match.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In And Out: AEW Makes Multiple Changes To All In Matches
On the July 28 edition of SmackDown, a match between Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio was stopped when Mysterio suffered an injury. Escobar was recently interviewed by the Ten Count, where he revealed that Mysterio suffered a “small mild concussion”. Mysterio has since returned to the ring and has become the United States Champion for the third time in his career.
Mysterio has been on a roll as of late. Check out what he has been doing:
Opinion: What matters the most here is the fact that Mysterio is ok enough to be back in the ring. A concussion is something that can keep you on the shelf for a very long time so it is great to see that he is already wrestling again. You don’t often see a match stopped due to an injury but there was only so much that could be done with that kind of a situation. I’m curious to see if we get a Mysterio vs. Escobar rematch, as it would be a logical way to go.
