Get well soon. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to get hurt and you never want to see it happen. Injuries can come out of nowhere and change up a promotion’s plans all at once. That can lead to some last minute changes that can make things interesting, and that might be the case again as a WWE injury has caused a change of plans for an upcoming title match.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Put It On The Resume: WWE Team Tops PWI’s Tag Team 100 List
Last week on SmackDown, a Tag Team Title match was set for this week’s show, featuring Drew McIntyre and Sheamus challenging the Usos. However, this week on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that McIntyre was not medically cleared for the match and was unable to challenge for the titles. As a result, Butch will take McIntyre’s place in the title match. There is no word on what kind of injury McIntyre has or when he might be back in the ring.
Unfortunately I am medically disqualified to compete this Friday on #Smackdown
I don’t like to miss any shows as everybody knows but I promise I’ll be back soon

McIntyre is quite good when he is healthy. Check out his time in the ring:
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with McIntyre and there is still a chance that this is some kind of a storyline injury. Assuming it is real though, it would not be the biggest surprise if he is just banged up after working so hard for so long. Hopefully McIntyre is back sooner than later, as he is one of the biggest parts of SmackDown and the show is weaker without him.
