On The Way: WWE Expected To Add This Title Match To Summerslam Card

That’s on too. We are just over two weeks away from Summerslam and the card is starting to come together. WWE has already started to put together the card, which is one of the most important things the company needs to do. The show is already set to include a variety of matches and now we have an idea of what the show is likely to feature along with everything else.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning to have Sami Zayn defend his Intercontinental Title against Bron Breakker at Summerslam. This would be a rematch from Money In The Bank where Zayn successfully defended his title against Breakker. There is no word on if Ilja Dragunov, who has also been involved in the feud between the two, would be involved as well. Summerslam takes place on August 3 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Opinion: I’m not surprised that this would be the title match but I would be surprised if Dragunov wasn’t added. That was the way the story seems to be going and it would make sense if WWE did make it a three way. If nothing else, it would be odd to see Breakker getting another title shot after Zayn beat him clean at Money In The Bank. Breakker leaving with the title would not surprise me, but it depends on who he has to beat to get there.
