Ouch. There are all kinds of things that can happen to a wrestler to put them out of action for a long time. Those issues can plague any wrestler no matter what they are doing, but there are other things that can happen outside of the ring to make things just as bad. Unfortunately a prominent wrestling star is having to deal with such an issue and will be missing time as a result.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That One? WWE Considering Bringing Back A Surprising Twenty Year Old Event
Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle has announced on Twitter that he will be missing two scheduled shows after being involved in a car accident. Riddle’s Uber was in an accident on the way to the airport, resulting in him suffering a concussion as well as bumps and bruises. There is no word on when Riddle will be able to return to the ring. Riddle has wrestled for a variety of promotions, including New Japan, since being released from WWE last year.
Just wanted to share with everyone that I won’t be making tonight’s show or tomorrow’s show, unfortunately on my way to the airport my Uber got into an accident and I had to go to the hospital and get checked out. I have a concussion, bumps and bruises but I’ll be fine #seatbelt pic.twitter.com/AiL6Gx6Nfv

He had quite the WWE run. Check out Riddle’s time in the company:
Opinion: That’s terrible to hear and thankfully Riddle is not hurt worse. That could have been a lot more serious but a concussion is bad enough on its own. What matters the most is his health and it’s much better if he isn’t on shows when he still needs something of a break to make sure everything is ok. Riddle is an incredibly talented star and it would be great to see him getting another chance if he can get things cleared up.
