Not That: Interesting Detail On The Rock Potentially Returning At WrestleMania 40

That’s a specific detail. There are very few names in wrestling history who come close to matching the star power of the Rock. Over the years, the Rock became one of the top stars in all of wrestling and then moved on to become one of the biggest actors in Hollywood. Rock will occasionally come back to WWE and that has been rumored again, though now we know one specific detail.

In recent weeks, there have been discussions over the Rock possibly returning to the ring to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. At the moment, the Rock is not expected to wrestle again due to his filming schedule and other business activities. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, should the Rock decide to wrestle the match, WWE will accommodate him. That being said, Rock will not win the WWE Universal Title. There is no word on if Reigns will still be champion at the show.

Opinion: I’m not sure what this is going to mean for the Rock’s future, though it would not stun me to see him getting back in the ring for a member of his family. At the same time, it never made sense to imagine him winning the title, as he is not going to be around full time to defend it. Unless Reigns loses the title in advance, Rock defeating Reigns does not exactly seem to be the most likely outcome.
