So that’s a no? There has long since been a stigma against wrestling, suggesting that it is not a real sport compared to others. While it is true that professional wrestling has pre-determined outcomes, there is nothing fake about the effort the wrestlers have to put in every time they get in the ring. Now one star in another sport has an interesting take on wrestling, which is quite the respectable stance.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Off: 26 Year Old Second Generation Star Reportedly Leaves AEW

During an interview with ESPN, Boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World Tyson Fury, who has wrestled for WWE in the past, was asked about potentially returning to wrestling. Fury said that WWE was too hard for him as it was very taxing on the body and much harder than boxing. He went on to say that he would rather dodge punches and move around the boxing ring. This comes less than two days after Fury said “we’ll see” in regards to a return to wrestling after his boxing career ended. Fury has wrestled once before, defeating Braun Strowman via countout at Crown Jewel 2019.

Fury has done some nice things in WWE. Check out some of his time there:

Opinion: That is quite the compliment from Fury, as you do not often hear someone talk about how hard wrestling is. While boxing is certainly a physical sport, there are so many differences between it and wrestling that they are very different disciplines. It is quite the mark of respect from Fury to say these kinds of things, though I’m sure WWE would welcome him with open arms if he changes his mind.
