They have a point. WWE presents a variety of wrestling events every year with so many matches that it is hard to keep track of them all. While a good many of them appear on television, there are several that are only for the live fans in attendance. As a result, things can be done a bit differently with those matches and that was the case again last week as some changes were made.

According to Fightful Select, there were changes made to the original dark match scheduled for last Friday’s SmackDown taping. The original plans for after the television broadcast went off the air called for Sami Zayn vs. Ludwig Kaiser and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther defending against Jey Uso and Damian Priest in a three way match. However, the matches wound up being Zayn vs. Santos Escobar and Gunther vs. Uso, with Kaiser and Priest getting involved as a tag match with Uso and Priest winning. The changes were said to be made to send the fans home happy.
It had a lot to beat. Check out some of the SmackDown the matches followed:
Opinion: There is something very fun about a series of dark matches like this, as they let fans have fun in a way they might not get otherwise. Having popular stars like Zayn, Uso and Priest out there makes the night feel more special and that is how you want fans to remember the show. This was a good way to go for everyone involved and WWE seems to be getting the right idea.
