He had an idea. There have been all kinds of stables throughout WWE’s history and some of them have become iconic for the company. Those are the teams that fans automatically recognize for one reason or another and when they come to an end, it can be a game changer. WWE has had a few of them over the years, but it seems that one of them was almost split up multiple times.

The New Day formed in the summer of 2014 and have remained a unit almost entire ever since, save for a split via the WWE Draft. According to Fightful Select, Vince McMahon wanted to split the team up several times, even though the group wanted to stay together. Possible times for the split would have come after Xavier Woods won the King of the Ring tournament or during Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title reign. The team has opposed such splits and remain together to this day, though Big E.’s future is in question due to a broken neck.
New Day are a different kind team. Check out some of their history:
Opinion: That is quite the McMahon thing to do, as he always likes to shake things up. New Day is still one of the more popular attractions in WWE and their merchandise sales seem quite strong, which makes me wonder why they should be split up. Unless there is a good reason for it, that would feel like a shock for the sake of a shock, which is rarely the best idea.
