Hand it over. Title changes can be among the biggest moments in wrestling as you never know when you are going to see a major reign either come to an end or begin. It can happen on any given show and some of them can be quite the moment. That was the case again this week, as a pair of title reigns came to an end on one of the biggest events of the year.

This week, AEW presented its annual Grand Slam event from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. The show featured four title matches, with two of the titles changing hands. First up, Eddie Kingston defeated Claudio Castagnoli to both win the Ring Of Honor World Title and retaining his New Japan Strong Openweight Title. Later, Rey Fenix defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW International Title. AEW Women’s Champion Saraya and AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman retained their titles.

Opinion: That is how you make a night feel big, as the title changes certainly were important moments. Those make things that much more impressive and I’m curious to see where things go from here for both new champions. AEW knew how to make it feel like a big deal and that is exactly what they needed to be doing with a show that had such a huge stage for them.
