He’s up next. We are in a new era in WWE as the new Monday Night Raw and SmackDown rosters are now set after the Draft. Several wrestlers have moved from one show to another and that means it is time to have some fresh matches and rivalries, which can offer a few new directions. We now know what one of the biggest new ideas is, as the WWE Champion has a new challenger.
Seth Rollins is the new #1 contender to the WWE Title after winning a four way ladder match in the main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw. Rollins defeated Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor to become the new #1 contender to Big E.’s WWE Title, though there is no word on when the match will take place. Big E. and Rollins had a staredown after the match ended to wrap up the night.
It was a big night. Check out how the match was set up plus what has happened between Rollins and Big E. in the past:
Opinion: What surprises me the most about this is that somehow, the upcoming match will be the first televised match between these two since 2014. You would think that their paths would have crossed at some point in the last seven years but somehow we are getting a rather fresh match. It should be a good match too, as the two of them have come a long way since 2014, which shouldn’t be a big surprise.
What do you think of the ladder match? How do you see the title match going? Let us know in the comments below.
