New #1 Contender Crowned for Raw Women’s Title

Glitter, Glitz, Defend, Sparkle. Alexa Bliss won the Raw Women’s Title at “Payback 2017” and has dominated the women’s division since. After defeating Bayley twice in a row, it was time for someone new to come after the champion and her title. That person was determined this week on “Monday Night Raw”.

Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss: Raw, April 24, 2017

On tonight’s show, Sasha Banks won a gauntlet match featuring six members of the women’s division. Banks entered the match last and eliminated Nia Jax, who had defeated all four other entrants to reach the final pairing. The title match will take place at “Great Balls of Fire” on July 9.

Opinion: Banks as the next challenger makes the most sense and it wouldn’t shock me to see her take the title from Bliss. That being said, Bliss has been playing way above her level lately and it’s been quite the sight to behold. It should be a heck of a match if they lay it out properly and that’s always a good thing.
